The Coalition

Washington Shooting Sports and Industry Coalition (WSSIC) was incorporated on March 11th, 2024.

WSSIC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to enabling the growth of shooting sports and advocating for the industry that allows us to exercise our Second Amendment.

Although we wish to primarily focus on the growth of shooting sports and saving lives, it is imperative our first order of business be to focus on advocating and fighting for the home based and small businesses in the industry. The security and surveillance requirements will force all home based businesses to close. The set and spike combination described in the threats section will force almost all small and eventually medium businesses to close. The few remaining large and corporate remaining business will establish monopolies in their region and the consumers will pay the price. Without the home based and small businesses, the shooting sports in Washington will not survive.

Everything we do revolves around these four objectives:

  • Shooting sports in Washington is already difficult enough for new shooters to get into. Some of the old guards and the current environment of the state makes it even more difficult. We are here to make it easier for all to enter and enhance the experience for existing shooters.
  • Polarized and biased politicians in power may be able to ignore and oppress individuals that do not align with them but not when they are unified.
  • Our goal is to provide a voice for the over 800 firearm dealers and manufacturers in Washington state to represent their interests.
  • Our focus is different from some of the other organizations that are more focused on constitutionality. We are more focused on collecting data and information to conduct analysis to support the constitutionality and pragmatic argument while protecting us from harm and mis-disinformation.
  • Polarized politicians and gun-control advocates have been largely successful in demonizing not only guns but those that practice their second amendment in blue states. Largely, their disinformation campaign have been successful in Washington state.
  • This video, AR-15 Goes on Trial for Murder, is a bit ridiculous but it highlights how absurd the gun-control disinformation campaign is.
  • Legal gun-owners, especially those with concealed carry permits, are some of the most law compliant citizens. Yet we are continuously portrayed as scoundrels and insurrectionists.
  • Blaming guns will not reduce suicides, but investing genuinely and efficiently in mental health care will. The vast majority of people who commit suicide have morbid depression. If you are a parent and there is an accident at home, shame on you at so many levels.
  • The truth is demonizing guns and pushing for gun-control is an essential strategy for polarized politicians and profitable business for advocate organizations.
  • As a strong critic to polarized politicians and gun-control advocates, it is important to not just criticize but be part of the solution as well. That is why we are dedicated to actually making a difference.
  • Reduce suicide by bringing awareness to the root cause, morbid depression, and supporting suicide prevention initiatives.
  • Reduce homicide and gun-violence by promoting concealed carrying, defensive-use training, and supporting the blue (those that keeps us safe).
  • Strive to eliminate school shooting, through study and research, by identifying high risk factors and develop and push for a preventive plan that do not ban guns or arm teachers.
