Assault Rifle: 
Select fire rifle that fires an intermediate cartridge capable of accepting a detachable magazine. Except for with the rare and prohibitively expensive pre-sample machine guns, assault rifles are illegal for civilians to own. Select fire is the ability to choose semi-auto and automatic.

Assault Weapon:
Terminology artificially created by gun-control advocates and adopted by far-left politicians to deliberately strike fear and confuse the public with “assault rifle.” States and jurisdictions that formally recognizes the term “assault weapon” are not able to agree (inconsistencies) on a common definition. In its infinite wisdom, Washington state classifies Barrret .50 cal M87 and M107A1 sniper rifles as “assault-weapons.”

Magazine:
Ammunition storage and feeding device for a repeating firearm.

Magazine, Standard Capacity: 
A magazine with the capacity that is generally sold with the firearm. For example, an AR-15 standard capacity magazine is 30rd, Sig P320 standard is 17rd, and the Colt 1911 standard is 7rd.

Magazine, High Capacity: 
A magazine with the capacity that is higher than what is generally sold with the firearm. For example, AR-15 high capacity magazine is 60 rd. States and jurisdictions that formally recognizes the term “large capacity magazines” are not able to agree (inconsistencies) on a common capacity. Most define it is 10rd or more. some at 15rd or 17rd.

Magazine, Low capacity: 
A magazine with the capacity that is lower than what is generally sold with the firearm. For example, an AR-15 low-capacity magazine is 20rd and Sig P320 is 10rd.
